Vietnam War veteran enjoyed hunting, fishing
James R. Craig, 64, of Mt. Morris, died at 4 a.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, in his home.
He was born Saturday, June 5, 1948, in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of the late Herbert R. and Betty Linger Craig.
Mr. Craig was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Army. He was a life member of Disabled American Veterans in Pittsburgh.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and especially spending time with his grandchildren.
Mr. Craig was a heavy equipment operator for various companies and had been the owner/operator of Herbs Cafe in McKeesport.
His wife, Diann Lyda Craig, to whom he had been married for more than 30 years, survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, MaryJane (Alberto) Rosado of Lumberton, N.J., Cynthia D. (Joseph S. Jr.) Yorio of Mt. Morris and Melissa Coulter of Mt. Morris; a son, Daniel J. Werkmeister of McKeesport; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, David F. Craig and John Hershel Tennant, both of Mt. Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 324 Mt. Morris Road, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, with the Rev. Jerry Kliner officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Graveside military rites will be accorded by James T. Maxon American Legion Post 992 of Mt. Morris. Information is online at www.milliken-throckmortonfh.com.
