Dale Forrest Brubaker, 83, of Monongahela, died Thursday, June 6, 2013, in Monongahela Valley Hospital.
He was born January 19, 1930, in Monongahela, a son of Harry F. and Margaret White Brubaker.
Mr. Brubaker graduated from Monongahela High School, Class of 1948.
He attended First United Methodist Church in Monongahela.
Mr. Brubaker was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served during the Korean War, and obtained the rank of corporal.
He was employed for a total of 43 years at Bell Telephone in Charleroi and then at Verizon in Belle Vernon, retiring in 1991.
Mr. Brubaker was a member of the Mon Valley Leathernecks, enjoyed traveling and had a passion for reading.
Surviving are his wife, Lois Cox Brubaker, with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage June 14, 2012; son Keith Brubaker and wife Joyce of Washington; three daughters, Lynn Glova and husband Steve of Ginger Hill, Lisa Tatar and husband Ronald of Moundsville, W.Va., and Lauren McKinnon and husband Jim of Irwin; five grandchildren, Alexis Glova, Robin Porter and husband Harrison, Ronald Tatar III, Bryan Tatar and wife Jennifer and Eimile McKinnon; and eight great-grandchildren, Grace, Rick, Rylie, Quinn, Lilli, Isabella, Jake and Elena.
In addition to his parents, deceased are a great-grandchild, Regan; a sister, Myrtle Mellinger; and a brother, Harry Brubaker.
Friends will be received from noon to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 10, with the Rev. Ronald Fleming officiating. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery.
