Loving father enjoyed fishing

Mack H. “Sugar” Williams Jr., 73, of Canonsburg, died Friday, June 7, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington.

He was born July 2, 1939, in Houston, a son of the late Mack H. and Frances Cole Williams.

Mr. Williams was an industrial construction worker, working out of Laborers Local 286 in Brownsville.

He enjoyed fishing, cooking, hunting and grilling.

Mr. Williams was married to Mable Hurd Williams, who survives.

He was the loving father of six children, Amy Adams (Clinton) and Teresa Williams (Ron), both of Houston, Randy Williams (Mary Ellen), Mark Williams (Scharyl) and Wanda Williams, all of Canonsburg, and Allen Williams (Baya) of Falls Church, Va., and stepson Bernard Edmonds of Canonsburg; and brother of Joseph Williams of Beaver Falls, Yvonne Johnson (Rubin) of Bedford Heights, Ohio, and Toni Thomas of Las Vegas, Nev.

Also surviving are a special friend, Leon Cornell; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Mary Frances Williams and Lorraine Roberson, and the mother of his children, Mildred Edwards Williams.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, where services will be held at noon Tuesday, June 11. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
