Lifelong Avella resident enjoyed working on family farm
Gerald A. Starinsky, 58, of Avella, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013.
He was born July 8, 1954, in Washington, son of the late Joseph and Julia C. Kuchtik Starinsky.
Mr. Starinsky was a 1972 graduate of Avella High School.
He was employed by Alex E. Paris Contracting Co. Inc. of Atlasburg as an operator for more than 30 years, retiring in 2012, when he became disabled.
He was a lifelong resident of Avella and enjoyed working on the family farm.
Mr. Starinsky was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church of Avella.
Surviving are two brothers, Vincent (Faye) Starinsky of Avella and David (Jackie) Starinsky of Courtland, N.Y.; a sister, Francine Mixon of Valdosta, Ga.; four nieces, Rebecca Starinsky, Christine Rice, Melissa Ware and Rebecca Bryson; a nephew, Andrew Starinsky; four great-nieces, Erin, Emerson, Emily and Josie; three great-nephews, Travis, Wyatt and Waylan; and two great-great-nephews, Adam and Jason.
Preceding him in death, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Rose Anne Bryson.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
