Restored classic cars
Charles “Chuck” Malanosky, 80, passed away Monday, June 10, 2013, in Cleveland, Ohio.
He was born June 1, 1933, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Walter and Anna Lucas, formerly of Pitt Gas.
Mr. Malanosky was a 1951 graduate of Jefferson High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a resident of Willowick, Ohio, for the past 52 years.
He was employed by GE Chemical Products, retiring after 28 years of service.
An avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he went to Super Bowl XL in 2006. He also restored two 1950 Chevy classic cars and a 1961 Plymouth Fury convertible. His cars won many trophies at car shows.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 51 years, Barbara Mrzena; children Therese (Paul) Koomar and Peggy Switzler; grandchildren Katie, Jennie, Beth and Sarah; siblings MaryAnn (Stanley) Wilczak of McKees Rocks and Bernadette (Bob) Jones of Avella; and sisters-in-law Margie Malanosky of Fredericktown and Wilma Malanosky of Scenery Hill. He was an uncle and a great-uncle to many.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mike, and siblings George and Ed.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon, Ohio.
