David Rizzo Sr.

David Rizzo Sr., 95, of Washington, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, in Hawthorne Woods, Washington.
He was born December 7, 1917, in Franklin Township, Somerset County, New Jersey, a son of Louis Rizzo and Mary Compelongo Rizzo.
Mr. Rizzo was born and raised in New Jersey and spent 25 years in Fort Pierce, Fla., and lived the last three years in Washington.
He was a lifetime member of NE Regional Council of Carpenters Local 254.
Mr. Rizzo was a longtime boating enthusiast who enjoyed sailing.
On July 2, 1940, he married Mary J. Muscle, who died November 21, 1968.
Surviving are a son, David Rizzo Jr. of Sayreville, N.J.; three daughters, Charlene Zygler of Washington, Joanne Radtke of Flagstaff, Ariz., Janice Wieland of Pompano Beach, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Deceased are a daughter, Candice House; a grandchild, Alfred Radtke; and all of his brothers and sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 12, in Our Lady of Victories Parish, 42 Main St., Sayreville. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery, Sayreville.
