Stephen Joseph Bistarkey, 79, of Clearwater, Fla., died Friday, June 21, 2013, in Woodside Hospice House.
He was born May 27, 1934, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Stephen J. Bistarkey Sr. and the late Alberta Neihaus.
Mr. Bistarkey served in the U.S. Air Force.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had a hobby of collecting stuff.
Mr. Bistarkey worked as a ramp supervisor for Northwest Airlines in Tampa, Fla.
Surviving are his wife, Ila Marie Bistarkey of Clearwater; two sons, Steve Bistarkey of McDonald and Dale (Barbara) Bistarkey of Oakdale; five grandchildren, Steve, Ryan, Dale Jr., Carolyn and Nicholas and wife Ashley; and a sister, Shirley Darras of Hickory.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Route 50, Cecil, where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 26, with Father Stan Gregorek officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
