John “Mike” Carlisle, 70, of Lower Macungie Township, passed away Sunday, June 23, 2013, in his home.
He was the husband of Karen L. Fields Carlisle. They were married 48 years.
Born in Washington, he was a son of the late John J. and Marian Allender Carlisle.
He served in the U.S. Army National Guard.
A steel sales representative for 25 years, he later worked for Daytimers Inc. for 10 years.
He was an avid Notre Dame Football fan and enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Karen; daughters Amy, wife of Tom Alioto of Carlsbad, Calif., Melissa, wife of Jeff Borneman of Perkasie, and Megan, wife of Doug MacGeorge of Emmaus; grandchildren Courtney, Sydney, Haley, Jake, Tyler and Mason; a brother, Joseph of Washington; and a sister, Judy Walz of Washington.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 10 a.m., the time of a memorial service, Saturday, June 29, in Schmoyer Funeral Home, 8926 Brookdale Road, Breinigsville. Contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice. www.schmoyerfuneralhome.com
