Murray Cecil Baysinger, 79, of Waynesburg, died at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, February 28, 2013, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
He was born Thursday, March 2, 1933, in Waynesburg, a son of the late George L. Baysinger and Mildred Tedrow Baysinger.
Mr. Baysinger was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793 and American Legion James Farrell Post 330, both in Waynesburg.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served with the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Baysinger enjoyed fishing, working with wood and fixing lawn mowers. At one time, he enjoyed playing music.
He was owner-operator of Baysinger Auto Repair in Whiteley Township and had worked as a mechanic for Hoy Ready Mix in Waynesburg.
On June 20, 1954, he married Haddie Orndoff, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Wayne C. and wife Bobbie Baysinger of Waynesburg and Randall E. Baysinger and companion Anna Spencer of Waynesburg; three grandchildren, Brandi Brumley, Amie Baysinger and Sally Durbin; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a grandson, Jeramy Baysinger and two brothers, Robert Baysinger and Eugene Baysinger.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the time of service, Sunday, March 3, in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, with Pastor Robert Mooney officiating. Burial will be in Fairall Cemetery, Whiteley Township.
