William A. “Bill” Miller Sr., 82, of Finleyville, died Friday, March 1, 2013, in his home.
He was born June 20, 1930, in Gastonville, a son of Albert and Ruth Messner Miller.
Mr. Miller was retired as a control room operator at U.S. Steel Corp.’s Clairton Works.
He was Protestant.
Surviving are his wife, Marilyn Tomko Miller; a son, William A. Miller Jr. and wife Suzanne of Donora; two daughters, Melanie Tempest and husband Brian and Merrily Hardinger and husband Bob, both of Monongahela; 10 grandchildren, Kayla, Ashley, Jenna, Robin, Carrie, B.J., Kelly, Todd, Will and Eric; six great-grandchildren, Madison, Lela, Brice, Sadie, Taylor and Tyler; an uncle, Howard Miller Of Decatur, Ga.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Dorothy Mathies.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, with Pastor Kevin Young officiating. Internment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Memorial contributions may be made to Finleyville Volunteer Fire Department, 3562 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, PA 15332; or First Presbyterian Church, 3595 Washington Avenue, Finleyville, PA 15332.
