Shawn Thomas Quinlan, 47, of Burgettstown, Hanover Township, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, March 3, 2013, in his home.
He was born June 27, 1965, in Pittsburgh, a son of John W. Quinlan (Darlene Chase) of Burgettstown and the late Pamela Stoehr Arnold.
Mr. Quinlan was a 1983 Burgettstown High School graduate. He was a paramedic for Burgettstown Volunteer Ambulance, while in high school.
He worked for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, where he was a member of the Pressman/Paper Handlers Union 9.
Mr. Quinlan enjoyed the outdoors.
Surviving, in addition to his father, are two children, Shawn Patrick Quinlan and Brooke Acklin, both of Burgettstown; and a nephew, Brandon Wilkins of Washington.
Deceased, in addition to his mother, is a brother, Patrick Quinlan.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Lee and Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Florence.
