John H. Bedillion
John H. “Jack” Bedillion, 81, of Lagonda, South Franklin Township, died unexpectedly Sunday, March 3, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
He was born December 22, 1931, in Chartiers Township, a son of Henry H. and Mary Alice Ullom Bedillion.
Prior to his retirement in 1994, he was employed for 30 years at Jessop Steel, last serving as a power house engineer.
In his leisure hours, he was an avid gardener and kept horses and peacocks. He taught his girls carpentry and car repair.
On March 20, 1957, he married Betty C. Chadwick. Mrs. Bedillion died August 4, 2007.
Surviving are three daughters, Annette J. Wall of Chambers Dam, Margaret J. “Peggy” (Jim) Ducsay of Lagonda and Amy J. (Jeff) Antion of Bellefonte; sister Esther Bedillion of Washington; six grandchildren, Heather Zippay, Samantha and Nicole Haluschak, Alex and Ryan Antion and Ashley Ducsay; two great-grandchildren, Victoria and Aiden Zippay; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, deceased are his brother, W. Wayne Bedillion, and a sister, Earline Blough.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Hummell & Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, funeral director, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 6, with the Rev. Fred McCloskey officiating. Interment will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
