Frances Schulte
Frances E. Schulte, 89, a lifelong resident of Cross Creek, passed away Friday, March 8, 2013, in Washington Hospital.
She was born May 6, 1923, in Washington, the only child of the late Walter and Ethel Marquis Porter.
Mrs. Schulte was a lifelong and active member of Cross Creek United Presbyterian Church, Burgettstown, where she taught Sunday school for more than 50 years, served as an elder for several terms and was the treasurer of the Ladies Aide. She also was an active member of Burgettstown Senior Citizens Association.
Her husband, Charles R. Schulte, whom she married June 26, 1941, survives.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Roy W. Schulte and wife Judith of Burgettstown; two daughters, Ruth Ann Sentipal and husband James of Cross Creek and Ethel I. Sentipal and husband Joseph of Burgettstown; seven grandchildren, Billie, Patricia, Janet, Tracy, Georgia, Sandy and Joseph; 15 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in Lee & Martin Funeral Home, 73 Highland Avenue, Burgettstown. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11, in Cross Creek United Presbyterian Church. Everyone is kindly asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Cross Creek Cemetery.
