George Milo Cannon
George Milo Cannon, 82, of Bentleyville, formerly of Canonsburg, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Donnell House, Washington, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 11, 1930, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Merle and Mary Pasic Cannon.
Mr. Cannon was the beloved husband of Ellen McKnight Cannon; loving father of Donald (Karen) Cannon, Catherine (Norm) Cimino, Michael (Kathy) Cannon and Janie (Tom) Tennant; and brother of Hazel Robinson and the late Anna Mildred Mathia, Arthur Cannon and Walter Cannon.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Jennifer Czernecki, Jaclyn Cannon, Cathie Hoyle, Stefanie Wittmaak, Derek Cannon, Kayleen Cannon, Zack Cannon, Erin Tennant and Meghan Tennant; and seven great-grandchildren.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army, 25th Infantry Division, 27th Regiment “The Wolfhounds” during the Korean War.
Mr. Cannon worked 32 years for Cooper Industries and after his retirement worked at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
His passion was hunting and fishing with his two sons. He was a family man and good friend to many. He will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. Monday, March 11, in Bentleyville Presbyterian Church, 812 Main Street, Bentleyville, PA 15314. Inurnment will be privately held with full military honors in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
