Irvine I. McIntyre

Irvine I. McIntyre, 82, of Cecil, died Saturday, March 9, 2013, in Canonsburg General Hospital.

She was born December 7, 1930, in Cecil, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Hanna Adams Heirendt.

Mrs. McIntyre was a member of St. Mary Parish in Cecil.

She enjoyed playing cards and spending time with her family.

Mrs. McIntyre worked as a line supervisor for J.R. Richards Co.

Surviving are her husband, John “Bo” McIntyre; two sons, John Wayne McIntyre and partner John Rucker of Cleveland, Ohio, and Robert McIntyre of Belle Vernon; a daughter, Christine McIntyre of Canonsburg; two grandchildren, Paul A. Schneider of Canonsburg and Stephanie N. Schneider of South Fayette Township; a sister, Geraldine “Jeri” (Elmer) Gardner of Sygan, South Fayette Township; and two brothers, Alfred (Mary Jo) Heirendt and Kenneth (Barbara) Heirendt, both of Cecil.

Deceased are brothers Nicholas, John W., Ernest J., Herman F. and Joseph Heirendt and sisters Annette “Toots” Hart, Ruth “Babe” Smith, Dolores C. Punola, Evelyn Heirendt and June Maderic.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and Monday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Route 50, Cecil, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, followed by a Christian Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, Cecil, with Father Stan Gregorek officiating. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Cecil.

Family suggests donations be made to McMurray Hills Manor Activity Fund, 249 West McMurray Road, McMurray, PA 15317; Canonsburg General Hospital, 100 Medical Boulevard, Canonsburg, PA 15317; or St. Mary Parish, 10 St. Mary Lane, Cecil, PA 15321.
