Alcinda A. “Cinna” Johnson Polink, 86, Carmichaels, passed away Sunday, March 10, 2013, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was born October 11, 1926, in Mt Pleasant, a daughter of the late George and Viola Stuck Johnson.
On November 14, 1948, she married Paul E. Polink, who survives. They had 64 beautiful years together.
Also surviving are two daughters, Kathy Kolar and husband Carl of Carmichaels and Sharon Samek and former husband Joseph A. Samek of Monument, Colo.; four grandchildren, Kelly Kolar, Amy Cook (Darren), Lindsay Kintz (Nick) and J. Andrew Samek Jr.; two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Kintz and McKenna Liddick; a sister, Margaret Tillery of Panama City, Fla.; and a brother, Charles Johnson (Marlene) of Irons, Mich.
Deceased are five brothers, James D., Danny Dale, Donald L., George and Jerome Johnson; and two sisters, Barbara Boni and Betty McMann.
Mrs. Polink enjoyed cooking for her family, flower gardening, dancing and playing penny poker with her friends. She especially enjoyed a cruise with her husband, sponsored by Retired Teachers’ Association, and spending some winters in Las Vegas, Nev. She was dedicated to her family and neighborhood, and was always willing to provide her time and financial help to anyone in need.
She requested her services be private. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, Paul M.
