Charles I. “Charlie” Rogers, 97, of Ashland, Ohio, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, in Kingston of Ashland.
He was born February 17, 1916, in Oakforest, a son of Clarence and Lois Johnson Rogers.
Mr. Rogers had lived most of his life in the Mansfield area of Ohio, where he had been employed as the boiler operator for the Leland Hotel.
He was a member of the Eagles Club, and he enjoyed reading and gardening.
Mr. Rogers was the last of 12 siblings.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
There will be graveside services at 11 a.m. Monday, March 18, in Rosemont Cemetery, Rogersville, with his nephew Carl Headlee officiating. Heyl Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be left for the family at www.heylfuneralhome.com.
