Lucille E. Hackenson

Lucille E. Hackenson, 88, of Washington, died unexpectedly Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Washington Hospital.

She was born April 7, 1924, in Claysville, a daughter of Harry Miller and Mary McKaidg Miller Ramage.

Mrs. Hackenson was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and was a homemaker.

On April 20, 1946, she married Leonard C. “Whitey” Hackenson, who died April 6, 1985.

Surviving are a daughter, Darlene McGowan (Byron) Smialek of Washington; two grandchildren, Kelley McGowan (Dan) Roos of Allison Park and Courtney Anne (Cody) Page of Trinity, N.C; and two great-grandchildren, Blake and Amelia Page.

Deceased, in addition to her husband, is a sister, Leah Stewart.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in Hummell and Jones Funeral Home, 420 Locust Avenue, Washington, Thomas W. Hummell, supervisor, Douglas M. Jones, director, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, with the Rev. Lois Swestyn officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205, and American Heart Association, 777 Penn Center Boulevard, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15235.
