Mildred V. Lohr

Mildred V. “Midge” Lohr, 77, of Meadow Lands, formerly of Claysville, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2013, in the emergency department of Washington Hospital.

She was born March 14, 1936, in Cumberland Township, Greene County, a daughter of Charles and Anna Pierce Rizor.

Mrs. Lohr owned and operated a personal care home.

She was a past member of Claysville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and American Legion in Claysville.

Mrs. Lohr loved going to the casino and playing bingo.

On July 25, 1954, in Winchester, Va., she married Glenn W. Lohr Sr., who passed away December 21, 2007.

Surviving are her children, Vicky (Edward) Korowicki of Meadow Lands, Glenn (Shea) Lohr of Whiting, Ind., and David (Sandy) Lohr of Linton, Ind.; grandchildren Joseph (Catherine) Korowicki, Mark Korowicki (fiancé Amber), Garrett and Shelley Lohr, Michael (Maria) Hunter, Jerry Lee (Cinthya) Hunter and Tiffany (Uriah) Resler; great-grandchildren Meranda, Michael, Brandon, Tyler, Allan, Alec, Alexis, Isabella and Kaleb Hunter, Austin, Shayna and Zayden Barnes and Madison Korowicki; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased are grandchildren Bryon and Kevin Lohr and brothers Lawrence, Donald, Harold “Red,” Robert and David Rizor.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at noon Wednesday, March 20.
