Frank Razzano, 90, of McMurray, formerly of Monongahela, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, in Paramount Senior Living, Peters Township.
He was born October 16, 1922, in Manown, a son of the late Frank and Elena Morra Razzano.
In 1984, he retired from the Pittsburgh Gear Co. in Neville Island, after 43 years of employment.
Mr. Razzano was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, Transfiguration Church in Monongahela.
He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Razzano was a member of American Legion Frank Downer Post 302 and a former member and treasurer of the Italian Citizens Club, both in Monongahela.
He was well known for his excellence in golf, loved stamp collecting and was formerly a notary public.
Surviving are a son, David Razzano and wife Kathy of Felton, Del.; a daughter, Karen Kohler and husband Randall of Washington; four grandchildren, David “Paul” Razzano and wife Necia, Mark Daniel Razzano and wife Erin, Jared Randall Kohler and wife Brittany and Rayna Lynn Ankrom and husband Jared; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Angelo Razzano of Monessen and Louis Razzano and wife Virginia of Grove City; and two sisters, Rose Smith of Sarasota, Fla., and Helen Worry of Arnold City.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is his wife, Helen Downer Razzano, who died October 17, 2012.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Thursday, March 21, in Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, with the Rev. William Terza officiating. Committal services and interment will follow in Finleyville Cemetery. Full military honors will be accorded graveside by Mon Valley Honor Guard and Firing Squad.
