Nicholas Melvin Mucho Sr., 71, of Fayetteville, W.Va., died Saturday, March 16, 2013, in Plateau Medical Center, Oak Hill, W.Va.

Born February 19, 1942, in Richeyville, he was a son of the late Nicholas and Barbara Tompos Mucho.

He was a retired maintenance worker for Georgia-Pacific.

Mr. Mucho was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill.

He enjoyed golf.

Mr. Mucho served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era.

Surviving are his wife, Sandra Collins Kelly Mucho; a son, Nicholas Mucho Jr. of Bradley, W.Va.; a daughter, Natasha Mucho of Mount Hope, W.Va.; a sister, Nancy Polacek of Florida; and three grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Oak Hill, with Father Paul Yuenger officiating. Entombment will be in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville. There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Saints Peter and Paul Catholic School, 123 Elmore Street, Oak Hill WV 25901. Condolences may be sent at www.tyreefuneralhome.com. Arrangements are by Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill.
