Wray E. Amon

Wray E. “Big Wray” Amon, 61, of Washington, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, March 19, 2013.

He was born June 5, 1951, a son of Mae Amon and the late Samuel Amon.

Mr. Amon was the beloved husband of 40 years of Betty Jo Amon; loving father of Wray (Tanya) Amon Jr. of Washington, April (Phil) Frye of Meadow Lands, Lisa (Cliff) Warnick of Washington and Kelly (Dean) Chubb of Ohio; brother of Sam, Cathy, Barb, Ed and Dennis; and grandfather of Philip, Chloe, Cooper and Emma.

Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was very grateful to be close with his cousin, Dale.

He enjoyed singing karaoke, fishing and watching wrestling.

Mr. Amon was the proud owner of U-Name-it-Bargain Shop.

Most importantly, he adored and loved his grandchildren. His sense of humor and smile will be dearly missed.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in Cremation and Funeral Care by Danielle Andy Belusko, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-260-55467. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 22, in Faith United Presbyterian Church, 900 East Beau Street, Washington, PA 15301.
