Frances A. Cushma
Frances A. Cushma, 77, of Canonsburg, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013, in Consulate Health Care, Canonsburg.
She was born July 23, 1935, in Houston, a daughter of the late Anton and Catherine Mier Curl.
Mrs. Cushma was a 1953 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and lived her entire life in the Canonsburg area.
She was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed cooking, baking, reading and gardening.
On August 25, 1955, she married her beloved husband of 57 years, Thomas Cushma, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Thomas A. and David A. Cushma and a daughter, Kathryn J. Cushma, all of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Ann Stewart and Susan Gabster and two brothers, Rudolph Kosmus and Edward Curl.
Mrs. Cushma was the last of her immediate family.
Friends are welcome from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in Salandra Funeral Service Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, with the Rev. Clarejean E. Haury officiating.
