Stella A. Zalom, 82, of Clarksville, died Saturday, March 23, 2013, in UPMC-Shadyside, Pittsburgh, with her loving daughters by her side.
She was born November 23, 1930, in Mather, a daughter of the late John and Mary O’Brochta Kubasik.
Mrs. Zalom was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson High School and was a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church in Clarksville, where she was a eucharistic minister.
On November 19, 1955, she married Andrew Zalom, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Karen Zalom (Kevin Benson) of Lawrence and Andrea Zalom (Ed Sutter) of Baltimore, Md.; a brother, Joseph Kubasik and wife Mary of Clarksville; a sister, Helen Gates of Brownsville; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, Charles Kubasik and John Kubasik and two sisters, Rose Koziel and Elizabeth Brendle.
Private services are being held in Behm Funeral Home, 1477 Jefferson Road, Jefferson, Gregory P. Rohanna, supervisor. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Clarksville, PA 15322. Condolences may be expressed at www.behm-funeralhomes.com.
