Tyler Lee “Ty” Smithyman, 23, of Eighty Four, wonderful son, loving brother and proud uncle, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, March 23, 2012.

Surviving are his parents, James Smithyman (Shari) and Sheri Smithyman (Charles).

He will be fondly remembered by his best friend and brother Brandon Smithyman (Danielle); sisters Jacqulynn Smithyman (Jason) and Ashley Smithyman (Kirklyn); brother Luke Smithyman; and grandparents Patricia Smithyman, Terry Randolph, Carol Randolph (Gordon) and John and Judy Davis.

Deceased are his great-grandparents Claire and Betty Guthrie; grandfather Thomas B. Smithyman; grandfather Richard Walters; uncle Thomas B. Smithyman (Rosanne); and dear cousin Lisa Smithyman.

Mr. Smithyman was a graduate with honors of Ringgold High School and Robert Morris University.

He was employed by Traveler’s Insurance Co.

Mr. Smithyman will be deeply missed by his nephew, Connor, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends and family will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in David J. Henney Funeral Home, 6364 Library Road, Route 88, Library. Liturgy of the Word will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 28, in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Finleyville. Interment will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Eighty Four. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
