Daniel Scott Burroughs passed away Monday, March 25, 2013, in his home in Rockmart, Ga.
He was born May 14, 1955, a son of Betty Rose Burroughs of Washington and the late Donald Scott Burroughs.
Mr. Burroughs was a graduate of Washington High School.
He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Surviving are his mother Betty; a daughter, Melissa Burroughs Phelps; and a son-in-law, David Phelps.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 4, in Freeman Harris Funeral Home, Rockmart. The family asks, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation at http://www.myotonic.org.
