Martin W. Gavlak, 53, of Charleroi, formerly of Carmichaels, died Saturday, March 30, 2013, in his home.

He was born July 25, 1959, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Frank Gavlak Sr. and Stella Pleban Gavlak Zabrosky, who survives.

Also surviving are a brother, Frank J. Gavlak and wife Kathleen of McMurray; a sister, Linda S. Toth and husband George of Carmichaels; a nephew, Adam; and a niece, Jaclyn Gavlak.

Mr. Gavlak worked as an auto mechanic.

Friends will be received from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 1, in Lesako Funeral Home Inc., 204 Dowlin Avenue, Carmichaels, PA 15320, Paul M. Lesako, owner/funeral director/supervisor, when a prayer service will be held in the funeral home chapel. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. in St. Hugh Roman Catholic Church, Carmichaels, with the Rev. John Bauer, celebrant.
