Robert B. Richards
Robert B. Richards, 64, of Washington, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born March 17, 1949, in Canonsburg, a son of Charles and Mary Richards.
Mr. Richards was a 1966 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.
He was employed as a welder for Aquatech in Canonsburg.
Mr. Richards was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Army.
He was a member of the SNPJ Lodge 138, Strabane, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, Canonsburg, and Boilermakers Local 906, Donora.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine McCrary Richards; four children, William McCrary of Lawton, Okla., Carla Williams (Mark) of Washington and Toni Fowler and Constance Jones (Terry), both of Pittsburgh; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A brother, Richard Richards, is deceased.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342. The family suggests memorial contributions be made in care of the funeral home.
