Clifton D. Smigiel

Clifton D. Smigiel, 54, of Eighty Four, died Saturday, May 4, 2013, in Greenery Specialty Care, Canonsburg.

He was born April 22, 1959, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Frank and Anna Wagner Smigiel.

Mr. Smigiel was a self-employed carpenter and, with his brother-in-law Bill Wardle, owned Phase I Builders in Eighty Four.

He was a member of SNPJ Lodge 138 in Strabane.

Mr. Smigiel enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and camping.

Most important, was the time he spent with his wife, Cindy Wardle Smigiel, whom he married June 29, 1991, and his sons, Jesse and Jeremy, who survive.

Also surviving are two sisters, Marian Kereki (Joe) of Houston and Margaret Smigiel of Wilmington, N.C.; mother and father-in-law Karen and Ron Wardle; a brother-in-law, Jim Miller of Houston; and many nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Louise Smigiel Miller.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, with the Rev. Donald Austin officiating.
