Sandra L. “Sandy” Reaves, 54, of Monongahela, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.

She was born August 30, 1958, in Pittsburgh. She lived most of her life in Venetia, Washington County, and was a daughter of the late Alfred and Pearl Barker Jones.

Mrs. Reaves worked as a nurse’s assistant during the years she was able to work.

She enjoyed playing bingo and going to the casinos.

Mrs. Reaves leaves behind seven children, Tina (Josh) Wolf of Pittsburgh, William “Bill” (Melissa) Terrant of New Eagle, Heather Terrant (Adrian Reiff) of Monongahela, Alfred “Boo” Terrant (Laura Taylor) of Monongahela, Terri (Doug) Gray of New Eagle, John Reaves (Erica Farabaugh) of New Eagle and David Smutney (Sarah Wiley) of Monongahela; 16 grandchildren, Kayla, DJ, Melanie, Nathan, Brian, Abby, Logan, Trista, Elijah, Zoey, Dougie, Brianna, Mariah, Nicholas, Michael and Chase; a brother, Joseph (Suzy) Jones of Portage, Mich.; a sister, Helen Kovach of Carnegie; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m., the time of service, Friday, May 10, in Marshall Marra Funeral Home, 216 Chess Street, Monongahela, 724-258-6767, wwwmarshallmarrafuneralhome.com. Interment will be held at a later date at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted on the family’s behalf at the funeral home.
