Charles T. Waugh, 59, of Fredericktown, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, in Mon Valley Hospital.
He was born January 30, 1954, in Brownsville, a son of the late Charles S. and Kathryn M. Righetti Waugh.
Mr. Waugh was a 1972 graduate of Bethlehem-Center High School.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Fredericktown, and Owls Club of Fredericktown and a charter member of Binnstown/Lowhill Lions Club. For many years, he was a Democratic committeeman for East Bethlehem Township II.
For several years, Mr. Waugh worked for J&L Steel Corp., Vesta 6 mine, as an underground coal miner. He later owned and operated Devil’s Den, Brownsville, Crazy Charlie’s, Fredericktown, and Jefferson Hotel, Jefferson.
Mr. Waugh enjoyed his nieces and nephews. He was an avid supporter of local youth sports and also enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Surviving are a sister, Sara K. Zemba (Pat) of Springfield, Va.; a brother, Joe Waugh (Susan) of Kernersville, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a sister, Mary Ann Waugh.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, where a prayer service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 13, followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, St. Oliver Plunkett Parish, Fredericktown, with the Rev.
