Lucien Anthony Celio
Lucien Anthony Celio, 71, of Houston, died Sunday, May 12, 2013, in UPMC-Montefiore hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born January 9, 1942, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Raffaele and Giovinia Teti Celio.
Mr. Celio was Roman Catholic.
He was a 1960 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
Mr. Celio served in the U.S. Army National Guard of Pennsylvania.
He was a former employee of Imperatore Auto Body Repair Shop in Canonsburg, then worked as a claim supervisor for Allstate Insurance for 35 years, prior to his retirement.
Mr. Celio had a passion for playing golf and was also an avid fan of professional golf and enjoyed watching it. He loved cooking and especially being with his family.
On September 23, 1977, he married Ann Mering, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ryan Celio and wife Heather of Erie; a stepson, Ronald Allen; three brothers, Joseph Celio of Canonsburg, Albert Celio of Strabane and Richard Celio and wife Marilyn of Scott Township; two sisters, Antoinette Liberatore of Canonsburg and Jean Lucas of McMurray; a grandchild, Grayson Lucien Celio; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, deceased are a brother, Mario “Rocky” Celio, and a sister, Mary Sacco.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Sollon Funeral Home Ltd., 30 East College Street, Canonsburg, J. David Sollon, supervisor, Phillip L. Sollon, director. Additional visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, the time of services, Thursday, May 16, with the Rev. George DeVille, pastor of Holy Rosary Church, Muse, officiating.
