Jean C. Shick Whyel
Jean C. Shick Whyel, 78, of Greensboro, died at 1:45 a.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg.
She was born Tuesday, April 16, 1935, in Potter County, a daughter of the late Edgar Shick and Erma Lucore Shick.
Mrs. Whyel was a member of Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God.
She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, walking and singing in the church choir. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are two daughters, Deadra (Kenneth) Kidd and Pam (Kevin) Long, both of Morgantown, W.Va.; four sons, William (Joy) Whyel of Lakewood, Ohio, Donald Lee (Virginia) Whyel of Taylorstown, Earston (Donna) Whyel of Greensboro and Mark Whyel and companion Tonja of Cleveland, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a sister, Dorothy Weimer of McClellandtown; two brothers, Clair Shick of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Thomas Shick of McClellandtown; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 324 Mt. Morris Road, P.O. Box 478, Mt. Morris, PA 15349. There will be additional visitation from 10 to 11 a.m., the time of service, Thursday, May 23, in Mt. Morris Gospel Tabernacle Assembly of God, with the Rev. Fred Tomlinson and the Rev. John C.
