Geraldine V. Hightower, 91, of Marianna, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, in Presbyterian SeniorCare.
She was born February 28, 1922, in Prudence, W.Va., a daughter of the late Goldie and Edward Higginbotham.
In addition to her parents, deceased are her husband, James Hightower; a son, Robert; as well as her siblings, Rose, Mary, Edna, Aubrey and Louis.
Surviving are children William “Sickle” Smith (Vickie Patterson) of Washington, Sharon (Lennie) Willis of Washington and Lynette (James “Snap”) Malloy of Marianna; grandchildren; and many great- and great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, May 31, in Nichol Funeral Home, 1873 East Maiden Street, Washington, with funeral services being held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lance B.
