U.S. Navy veteran loved spending time with family
Robert L. Paris Sr., 73, of Atlasburg, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013, after a brief illness, at home with his loving wife by his side.
He was born December 3, 1939, in Beech Bottom, W.Va, son of the late Orlando and Eleanor Paris.
On April 27, 1963, he married Patricia McKee, who survives. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
Mr. Paris was a U.S. Navy veteran who served on the USS Norfolk.
He had been employed at Testa Machine, Joy Manufacturing and Paris Contracting and assisted his wife with Paris Catering.
Mr. Paris had a special place in his heart for his daughter-in-law, Anita, who became his loving caregiver. He also enjoyed road trip vacations and casino outings with his son, Robert.
He loved his faithful dogs, Lemon, Harley and Nurse Thelma, and spending time with family at his pool.
He was the beloved father of Lisa (Bobby) Burris of Peters Township, Robert L. Paris Jr. of Slovan, Jeffrey (Anita) Paris of Atlasburg, with whom he lived, and Monica (James) Punday of Canonsburg; dear brother of Karen and Thomas; he raised his wife’s siblings, Trece (Gerald) Kovach of Oakdale, Anne Marie (Raymond) Dubich of Houston and Timothy (Tina) McKee of Wellsburg, WV; cherished grandfather of Paige Burris and Gino, Marco and Angelo Colavecchia; and loving uncle of J.C. McKee III, Ryan Kovach, Erin and Amy Dubich and Timothy McKee Jr.
Arrangements are private and have been entrusted to Cremation & Funeral Care by Danielle Andy Belusko, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, 724-260-5546.
A private service and internment will be held at the convenience of the family in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
