WWII, Korean conflict veteran retired from PPG
John A. “Jack” Green of Chartiers Township died Tuesday, May 28, 2013.
He is survived by his wife, Jean; sons John W. (Cindy) of Harrisburg and James S. of Pittsburgh; a brother, Kendell of Wisconsin; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are two brothers, three sisters and an infant son.
Mr. Green was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, serving in World War II and the Korean conflict.
He joined PPG in 1954 and retired in 1989.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 3, in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair Township. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Westminster Endowment Fund. Arrangements are by Milton E. Hamel Mortuary.
