Loving mother and grandmother

Alice May “Sue” Eichelberger, 67, of Washington, died at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2013, after a brief illness.

She was born February 14, 1946, in Washington, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Helen Moore Strike.

Mrs. Eichelberger was a member of Third United Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Fort Cherry High School.

She was employed as a banquet server at Holiday Inn for many years. She owned and operated E and M Plaster and Fun on West Chestnut Street during the 1980s and had been employed as a cashier at Jefferson Avenue Foodland, retiring in July 2013.

Mrs. Eichelberger was a member of Pulaski Club and its dart league. She loved crafts, painting and ceramics. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

On August 30, 1969, she married William Robert Eichelberger Jr., who died September 19, 2009.

Surviving are two sons, William Robert (Rae Lynn) Eichelberger III of Washington and Justin Lee (Dori) Eichelberger of Washington; a brother, Robert (Marie) Strike of McDonald; a sister, Debbie (George) Micik of Washington; and four grandchildren, Maxwell David Eichelberger, Alexander Robert Eichelberger, Austin James Eichelberger and Nathan Robert Eichelberger.

Deceased, in addition to her husband, is a son, Steven Arthur Eichelberger.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 4, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
