Partner in Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse

Anthony Bologna, 77, of McMurray, surrounded by many loving family and friends, died Wednesday, October 30, 2013.

He was a son of the late Gesidio and Assunta Tulle Bologna.

He was the beloved husband of Mary Hess Bologna; loving father of Anthony Bologna Jr. of Aurora, Ohio, Vicki and husband Sam LoPresti of Jefferson Hills and the late Matthew Bologna; dear brother of Vincent Bologna of Colliers, W.Va., Louis Bologna of Akron, Ohio, Ray Bologna of Moon Township and the late Joseph Bologna and Rose Marie Friday; and cherished brother-in-law of Linda Scalise of Erie, Connie Shelby of Houston, Texas, and Susan Baux of Pittsburgh.

Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and special friends.

Mr. Bologna was the owner of Bologna Ford in Burgettstown and ventured into various aspects of the coal and energy industries. He was a longtime employee of Bologna Coal Co. and a partner in Pepsi-Cola Roadhouse. He was also known as “The Wine Master.”

Friends are welcome from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Beinhauers Funeral Home, 724-941-3211, 2828 Washington Road, McMurray. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 4, in St. Benedict the Abbot Church, McMurray. Everyone is asked to please meet at the church. Loving mother and grandmother

Alice May “Sue” Eichelberger, 67, of Washington, died at 6:20 p.m. Thursday, October 31, 2013, after a brief illness.

She was born February 14, 1946, in Washington, a daughter of the late Robert E. and Helen Moore Strike.

Mrs. Eichelberger was a member of Third United Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Fort Cherry High School.

She was employed as a banquet server at Holiday Inn for many years. She owned and operated E and M Plaster and Fun on West Chestnut Street during the 1980s and had been employed as a cashier at Jefferson Avenue Foodland, retiring in July 2013.

Mrs. Eichelberger was a member of Pulaski Club and its dart league. She loved crafts, painting and ceramics. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren.

On August 30, 1969, she married William Robert Eichelberger Jr., who died September 19, 2009.

Surviving are two sons, William Robert (Rae Lynn) Eichelberger III of Washington and Justin Lee (Dori) Eichelberger of Washington; a brother, Robert (Marie) Strike of McDonald; a sister, Debbie (George) Micik of Washington; and four grandchildren, Maxwell David Eichelberger, Alexander Robert Eichelberger, Austin James Eichelberger and Nathan Robert Eichelberger.

Deceased, in addition to her husband, is a son, Steven Arthur Eichelberger.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine avenues, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, November 4, in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.

1939 – 2013

Stephen L. Monyak, 74, of Clearwater Drive, Ellwood City, died Friday, November 1, 2013, in UPMC-Passavant hospital, Pittsburgh, following a short illness.

Born May 1, 1939, in Manhattan, N.Y., he was a son of the late Stephen and Theresa Bodzer Monyak.

He was married to Mary Patricia “Pat” Hattman Monyak, who survives.

Mr. Monyak retired from UPMC-Hamot hospital in Erie, following a long career as a respiratory therapist in many different hospitals.

Surviving are a daughter, Stephanie L. Monyak of Washington; three sisters, Joanne Pipp of McKeesport, Theresa Southerin of Atlanta, Ga., and Linda Goosby of Pittsburgh; and two brothers, Joseph Chambers of North Charleston, S.C. and Ken Chambers of Beaver Falls.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, is a brother, John Monyak.

Visiting hours will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the time of service, Monday, November 4, in Marshall Funeral Home, 200 Fountain Avenue, Ellwood City, with his cousin, Pastor Robert Pollick, officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, McKees Rocks.

Loved sports, classic movies and gardening

Frank Regish, 77, of Clarksville, died Thursday, October 31, 2013, in his home surrounded by his family.

He was a 1954 graduate of East Bethlehem High School.

Mr. Regish was previously employed in an auto factory warehouse and also worked as a packer for a residential moving company, both located in Detroit.

He enjoyed watching sports on television, especially baseball and football, and watching classic movies. Vegetable gardening and caring for feral cats around his home brought him much enjoyment.

Surviving are two sisters, Mary Pache of Saginaw, Mich., and Irene Payne of Milwaukie, Ore.; two brothers, Stephen Regish (Jean) of New Boston, Mich., and Andrew Regish of Jefferson; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are four brothers, John Reggish, Joseph Regish, Charles Reggish and Michael Reggish; and two sisters, Elizabeth Abraham and Annie Cole.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Greenlee Funeral Home, 42 Bank Street at Crawford Road, Fredericktown, where a blessing service will be held at 9:45 a.m. Monday, November 4, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church, Clarksville, with the Rev. Francis Frazer as celebrant. Interment will be in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.

St. Michael Roman Catholic Church member

Richard Torboli, 78, of Avella, died at 3:01 a.m. Friday, November 1, 2013, in his home.

He was born January 30, 1935, in Sligo, a son of the late Pascuino and Frances Coachman Torboli.

Mr. Torboli worked in the construction industry for 40 years as an operating engineer and a heavy-equipment mechanic. He was employed by Murphy Construction and Mike Swartz Construction, retiring in 1997.

He was a member of St. Michael Roman Catholic Church of Avella and Operating Engineers Local 132 of Wheeling.

Mr. Torboli was an Avella resident since 1951.

He enjoyed his motorcycle, old cars, trips through the United States and Canada and spending time with family.

On August 23, 1953, he married Margaret Kolesar, who survives. The couple also had a marriage ceremony April 27, 2012, in St. Michael Church.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sons, Rick (Kathy) Torboli of Avella and Randy (Sandy) Torboli of West Lake, Ohio; a daughter, Laura (Chris) Faria of Avon Lake, Ohio; six grandchildren, Nathan, Melissa, Kelsey, Haley, Bobby and Kaity; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Maxim and Giuliana.

Deceased, in addition to his parents, are four brothers, Arthur Torboli Sr., James Torboli, Robert Torboli and Frank Tober; and five sisters, Rose Minda, Mary Ann Noble, Elizabeth Sabo and Frances and Delores Torboli.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in Jerome A. Stefkovich Funeral Home Inc., 18 Campbell Street, Avella. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 4, in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, 97 Highland Avenue, Avella, with the Rev. Robert M. Staszewski officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Avid outdoorsman, loving husband, Dad and Pap Pap

Howard G. Walker, 73, of Washington, passed on to better hunting grounds Friday, November 1, 2013.

He was born at home January 15, 1940, in Earlville, N.Y., a son of the late Mary Irene Williams Walker and Lloyd Giles Walker.

Mr. Walker grew up in Lowell, N.Y., and attended SUNY Oswega and Colgate University.

In New Hartford, N.Y., he taught science at Myles Elementary School and then was a guidance counselor at New Hartford High School, before moving to Pennsylvania.

In 1991, he married Carol Jean Koday of Washington.

He retired in 2002 from Burgettstown High School after 20 years as a guidance counselor, teacher and mentor.

A true outdoorsman, he loved to hunt, fish and work in his garden; retirement was his opportunity to do everything he enjoyed. Mr. Walker would often recount how peaceful it was to sit in the woods and how he loved to travel to capture those moments in the great outdoors. Some of his favorite excursions included an annual camping trip to Algonquin, camping and canoe trips to the Boundary Waters in Texas for boar hunting and Canada, where he bow-hunted grizzly bears.

He enjoyed spending hours working in his shop, beautifully refinishing furniture and canning his blue ribbon beets, both famous gifts for family and friends.

Mr. Walker enjoyed surf-fishing in the Outer Banks, N.C., and spending time with his large extended family on their annual trip. His sense of humor and undeniable character will live on in those who knew him. He was loved by family and friends alike and will truly be missed.

Mr. Walker was blessed with a large and loving family and is survived by five children, Lisa (Mark) Wilson of Walstonburg, N.C., Glenn Walker of Deansboro, N.Y., Elisabeth Shook of LaPlata, Md., Kenneth (Colleen) Shook of Chesapeake, Va., and Lucinda (Mark) Subrick of Washington; 15 grandchildren, Mark Wilson Jr., Kelly Wilson, Joseph Bauer, Lauren (Scott) Matt, Nichole Pasqualicchio, Adam Gorby, Dustin Wilson, Alayna Steele, Tyler Wilson, Jonathon Gorby, Ryan Shook, Marcus Subrick, Emily Shook, Kevin Shook and Nicolas Subrick; a sister, Jean Anne (Don) Schoner of Homer, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service was held for immediate family.
