All-around handyman enjoyed fishing

James Edward Ankrom, 60, of Waynesburg, died at 5:36 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2013, in Golden Living Center, Waynesburg.

He was born Saturday, October 24, 1953, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Thomas Albert Ankrom and Betty Ward Ankrom.

Mr. Ankrom enjoyed fishing and playing the lottery. He also enjoyed being with his dog, Raz.

He was a self-employed carpet installer and an all-around handyman.

Surviving are his wife, Barbara Tuggle, with whom he made his home; two stepsons, Chris (Sherri Kirby) Tuggle of Waynesburg and Steve (Tina) Tuggle of Carmichaels; five grandchildren, Craig Tuggle, Corey Tuggle, Danielle (Rusty) Bennett, Garet Bennett and Stevie Tuggle; four great-grandchildren, Logan Miller, Kolton Litten, Bailey Litten and Colton Tuggle; four sisters, Sandra K. (Roger) Scott of West Finley, Maxine (Jerry) Rutan of Oak Forest, Donise D. Ankrom of Hickory and Brenda L. (Rusty) McClelland of Holbrook; five brothers, Wayne (Patricia) Ankrom of Waynesburg, Leonard A. Ankrom of Flatrock, Robert E. (Ludi) Ankrom of Peoria, Ill., Charles F.(Deb) Ankrom of Waynesburg and Richard P. (Dee) Ankrom of Sydney, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased is a sister, Patricia S. Loughman.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Milliken and Throckmorton Funeral Home Inc., Daryl L. Throckmorton, owner/director, 197 North Maiden Street, Waynesburg, PA 15370, where services will be conducted at noon Thursday, November 7, with the Rev. William Parker officiating. Burial will be in Oakmont Cemetery, Waynesburg.
