Elizabeth Jones Beagle, 97, of Madison, Ohio, and formerly of Greensboro, Cabbage Flats, died at 2:18 a.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2013, in Lantern of Madison.
She was born December 20, 1915, in Rices Landing, a daughter of George and Chrysta Marie Gabler Neff.
Mrs. Beagle was a graduate of Doylestown High School and a former member of Mapletown United Methodist Church, Greensboro. She was currently a member of Park United Methodist Church in Madison.
She served as a mother adviser for Rainbow Girls in Waynesburg and a past worthy matron of Ideal Chapter 213, Masontown.
Mrs. Beagle cherished her entire family and enjoyed cooking for them.
On September 10, 1938, she married William S. Jones, who died October 25, 1984.
On November 16, 1993, she married Clyde R. Beagle, who died November 11, 2002.
Surviving are two daughters, Janet A. Franczek and husband Arthur of Madison and Christa E. Bartos of Oakmont; three grandchildren, Susan Quayle and husband Charles, Arthur Scott Franczek and wife Carli and Barbara Loftus and husband Steve; four great-grandchildren, Perry, Sam, Emily and Steele; a sister, Ruth Ann Neff of Virginia Beach, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a son, James M. Jones III; a great-grandson, Benjamin Quayle; five brothers, John, Benjamin, Harry, George and James Neff; two sisters, Mary Ainsley and Jane Biddle; and her son-in-law, Thomas Bartos.
Family and friends are welcome from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of service, Friday, November 8, in Yoskovich Funeral Home, 724-966-5500, Martin J. Yoskovich, funeral director, 300 South Vine Street, Route 88, Carmichaels. The Rev. Bruce R. Judy will officiate. Interment will follow in Greene County Memorial Park, Morgan Township.
