Monongahela woman known for her baking
Pamela Ann Weld Yowonske Winkleblech, 68, of Monongahela, died Tuesday, November 5, 2013 in UPMC-McKeesport hospital.
She was born October 10, 1945 in California, the daughter of the late William R. Sr. and Gertrude D. Ermlick Weld.
For seven years, Mrs. Winkleblech was a school bus driver for Charleroi Area School District, from where she retired. In her younger years, while her children were in school, she was a member of Charleroi PTA and Block Parents Association and a co-founder of the band boosters. She was also the founder of Twilight Borough Civic Club and a former member of Lock 4 Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
Mrs. Winkleblech was best known for her baking and was always there to lend a hand to anyone that needed help.
She is survived by her husband, William Winkleblech, with whom she celebrated 14 years of marriage December 10, 2012; twin sons, Ronnie Yowonske and wife Christeen of Monongahela and Randie Yowonske and fiancee Genelle Semko of Charleroi; two stepsons, Jarold Winkleblech of Monongahela and Ryan Winkleblech and wife Andrea of Delaware; seven stepgrandchildren, Jarrod and Brianna Wilson, Ashley Baysinger and Arianna, Kendra, Matthew and Malen Winkleblech; sister Brenda Weld Castner of Charleroi; very special friend, Cathy Zippay; and friend Fred Yowonske.
She also leaves behind her loving dog, Pooh.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her brother, William “Jr.” Weld, and her nephew, Jasson Castner.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 8, with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Cemetery, California.
