N.H. man served in Army Air Forces
Robert R. Masquelier, 91, of Milford, N.H., died Thursday, October 31, 2013, in The Elms Care and Rehabilitation Center, Milford.
He was born May 13, 1922, in McDonald, a son of Frank J. and Esther M. Jiannino Masquelier.
Mr. Masquelier made his home in Milford for the past 10 years and formerly lived in Berlin, Md., and Silver Spring, Md., for more than 30 years and Reading for many years.
Prior to his retirement in 1984, he had been employed as a senior claims representative for CNA Insurance Co. for 25 years.
Mr. Masquelier was a member of Milford United Methodist Church.
He was a U.S. Army Air Forces veteran of World War II and was discharged in 1944 with the rank of first lieutenant.
Deceased is a brother, Frank Masquelier.
Mr. Masquelier was a loving husband and a devoted father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Esther Cole Masquelier of Milford; a daughter, Connie Page of Nashua, N.H.; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Wayne Masquelier of North Fort Myers, Fla.; two sisters, Shirley Roberts of Erie and Donna Bennett of McDonald; and many nieces and nephews.
Services are private. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Milford.
