Ironworker enjoyed hunting
Edward E. “Ted” Snyder III, 45, of Cecil, passed away from a monthlong battle with cancer, Sunday, November 10, 2013, in UPMC-Shadyside hospital, Pittsburgh.
He was born August 17, 1968, in Washington Hospital, a son of Edward E. “Ted” Jr. and Barbara J. Fischer Snyder of Houston, who survive.
Mr. Snyder belonged to Ironworker Local 3 of Pittsburgh and was an ironworker for AC Dellovade Inc.
He was raised in Houston and, for the last 12 years, lived in Cecil, where he attended Mass with his family at St. Mary’s Church.
Mr. Snyder was an avid hunter, enjoyed going to his daughters’ sporting events but mostly spending time with his family.
On May 29, 1993, he married his beloved wife, Shelly Uram, who survives.
Also surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are three daughters, Brittney, Sarah and Emily Snyder, all at home; a brother, Anthony (Lori) Snyder of Pittsburgh; a brother-in-law, Fred Rudd of New York, N.Y.; father and mother-in-law, George and Earlene Uram of Canonsburg; a sister-in-law, Jodi (Joseph) Stumpf of Canonsburg; a brother-in-law, George (Katie) Uram of Cecil; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Deceased are a sister, Jean Rudd, and maternal and paternal grandparents.
Family and friends are welcome from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in Salandra Funeral Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg, 724-745-8120, where a Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, November 15, with Pastor Nathan Miller of New Life Church officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Spring Cemetery, Canonsburg.
