Florida resident was retired salesman
Harold C. G. Baird, 83, of Palm Harbor, Fla., died Friday, November 8, 2013, in his home.
He was born September 15, 1930, in Canonsburg; a son of George and Blanche Caseber Baird.
Mr. Baird was retired as an automotive salesman.
He was a member of F&AM Lodge 192 in Dunedin, Fla., and was Catholic.
Surviving is a son, George Baird and his wife Barbara of Meadville; three daughters, Melinda Heinlein of New Holland, Melissa Baird of Palm Harbor, and Cynthia Kohler of Dravosburg; a sister, Helen Matyas of Canonsburg; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Deceased are his wife, Kathleen Baird, and a son, Michael Baird.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon, the time of a blessing service, Thursday, November 14, in Kegel Funeral Home Inc., Tim P. Kegel, supervisor, 3560 Washington Avenue, Finleyville. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Mausoleum, McMurray.
Stanley Blostic, 86, of Cokeburg, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013.

Gerald Robert Craig, 73, of Mt. Morris, died at 5:02 a.m. Tuesday, November 12, 2013, in his residence.

Nottingham Township resident
William “Tom” Lenard, 76, of Nottingham Township, formerly of Bethel Park, died peacefully Monday, November 11, 2013, with his family by his side.
He was born January 18, 1937, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Pauline Pollak Slaterback.
Mr. Lenard was the beloved husband of 50 years to Sharon Russell Lenard; cherished father of Tammy (Rick) Dohanich of Cecil and Lisa Lenard of Nottingham Township; loving grandfather of Hayley and Michael Dohanich; dear brother-in-law of Terry (Sue) Russell; and aunt of Michele Russell.
He enjoyed golf and was a longtime member of Jugoslav Club in Bethel Park and Rover Boys Golf League. He enjoyed taking walks at Mingo Creek County Park and Peters Lake Park with his wife and dog, Isabella. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and will be dearly missed.
Friends are welcome from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in Cremation & Funeral Care, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA, 724-260-5546, where a funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 14.

Daniel Elden Long Jr. died Sunday, November 10, 2013.
He was born April 9, 1936, in Chambersburg, a son of the late Daniel E. Long Sr. and Kathryn B. Long Kirby.
Mr. Long was a 1954 graduate of Lebanon Senior High School. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1958 from Pennsylvania State University and his law degree in 1962 from the Dickinson School of Law.
Over the years, he practiced law in Lebanon, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Canonsburg, West Alexander and Washington. In December 2012, Mr. Long was honored by the Washington County Bar Association for 50 years of service as an attorney. Later in life, he attended the Pittsburgh Seminary School and was a part-time minister for several small rural churches.
Surviving are a sister, Karen (Donald) Witter of Scottsdale, Ariz.; a daughter, Sandra (Frank) Long-Johnson; and a son, Douglas Long, both of Williamsport; several aunts, cousins and many close friends.
At the request of the deceased, all services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.

Susan C. Bottorff Thompson, 52, of Washington, died Tuesday, November 12, 2013, in her home.

U.S. Marine Corps veteran was avid fisherman
William M. Thompson, 62, of Bentleyville, formerly of Greensburg, died Sunday, November 10, 2013, in his home.
He was born December 12, 1951, in Greensburg, a son of the late Margaret Madeline Louise Brklycica Thompson and Fred B. Thompson Sr. of Armagh, who survives.
Mr. Thompson was a graduate of Hempfield High School.
He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching sports.
Surviving, in addition to his father, is a daughter, Gwendalyn Thompson, and a granddaughter, Dahlia Galle, both of Northern Cambria; six sisters, Stephanie Cable (Charles III) of New Florence, Sandra Wilson (Edward) of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Lynn Brink of Bentleyville, Terri Howard (Donald) of Ligonier, Priscilla Mulvihill (Matthew) of Hubert, N.C., and Tracie Hanabeck (Michael) of Uniontown; a stepmother, Helen Thompson; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased, in addition to his mother, are two brothers, Fred B. Thompson Jr. and John Edward Thompson.
