Donald C. Gordon, 86, of Canonsburg, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013, in Canonsburg Hospital.
He was born April 19, 1927, in Washington, a son of Raymond and Roeine Griffin Gordon.
Mr. Gordon was a veteran, serving in the Navy during World War II.
He worked at Shenango Steel Mill on Neville Island and retired from Ft. Pitt Bridge in Canonsburg, where he worked for 12 years.
Mr. Gordon was a member of the National American Legion.
On March 21, 1949, he married Ethel J. Adams, who survives.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, James Gordon (Mary) of Morrison, Okla.; a stepgranddaughter, Danessa Ponce; and a brother, John Gordon of Buffalo, N.Y.
Deceased are a son, Donald C. Gordon Jr.; four brothers, Raymond, Harold, James and Robert Gordon; and two sisters, Ruth Ann Morman and Flora Grinage.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Mcilvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., Robert K. McIlvaine, owner/supervisor, 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, PA 15342, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 19. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
