Colliers Steel retiree, St. John Church member
Julia Patsolic, 92, of Burgettstown, died Thursday, November 21, 2013, in New Haven Court Senior Living, Greensburg.
She was born January 14, 1921, in Bertha Mine, a daughter of the late Steve and Pearl Grabania Roman.
Prior to retirement, Mrs. Patsolic was employed at Colliers Steel in Weirton, W.Va.
She was a member of St. John Byzantine Catholic Church in Avella and was past president of its Altar Society.
On July 13, 1942, she married Joseph Patsolic, who died in 2005.
Surviving are a son, Joseph (Sandra) Patsolic of Carlisle; a daughter, Patricia (Floyd) Marshall of Mt. Pleasant; a sister, Helen Ratkovich of Burgettstown; grandchildren Julia Marshall, Sean Marshall, Jessica Kepchar and Lindsay Gilliland; and great-grandchildren Hannah Marshall Ridge and Drew and Brandon Kepchar.
Deceased are her brothers, John, Steve and Michael Roman; and her sisters, Pearl Dellaria, Sophie Matchett and Mary Mays.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in Taucher Funeral Home, 23 Erie Mine Road, Burgettstown. A Divine Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, November 25, in St. John Byzantine Catholic Church, Avella, with the Rev. Ed Lucas, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
