New Freeport woman worked for Westinghouse
Betty Fordyce, 88, of New Freeport, died Tuesday, October 1, 2013, in Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg.
She was born February 18, 1925, in Littleton, W.Va., a daughter of the late John C. Lough and Ethel M. Loar Lough.
Mrs. Fordyce was a homemaker and a former employee of Westinghouse in Fairmont, W.Va.
She was a member of Sand Hill Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband, David William “Bill” Fordyce; a daughter and son-in-law, Diane Barnhart and husband Roy “Bob” of Waynesburg; a brother, Howard C. Lough of Littleton; a sister, Bonnie Perkins of Morgantown, W.Va.; three grandchildren and their spouses, Robert Barnhart and wife Jill of Waynesburg, Dan Barnhart and wife Billie Jo of Carmichaels and Christina Harr and husband Brad of Fairmont; and seven great-grandchildren, Adrian, Jade, Brady and Josie Barnhart and Chase, Landon and Andrew Harr.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, is a brother, John Wayne Lough.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday in Tennant Funeral Home, 2678 Hornet Highway, Hundred, W.Va., where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 5, with evangelist Steve Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery, Ned.
