She preferred to be called “Jackie.”
Mrs. Jarosz was born January 19, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of the late Esther and Charles Sim.
A 1950 graduate of Washington High School, she worked for years at Central Drugstore and upscale boutique Charles Gessner dress shop before discovering her true passion as a homemaker.

She was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, where she was a lifelong member of Ladies Adoration Society, serving as secretary for a few years.
In her spare time, she enjoyed hosting and catering large parties, sewing and working at church events. An award-winning baker, her specialty was exquisite cookies enjoyed by all.
Mrs. Jarosz’s family was her life.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Joe; daughter and son-in-law John and Deborah Brower; granddaughter Alyson; sister Mary Bell, wife of Donald Nixon; several nieces and nephews; and special friends and neighbors Ron and Linda Mavilla.
She leaves behind her loving puppies, Ginger and Spencer.
