Holy Child Parish member was car enthusiast
Vincent J. White Jr., 64, of Cecil, died Thursday, October 3, 2013, in UPMC-Presbyterian, Pittsburgh.
He was born June 17, 1949, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Vincent J. and Naomi R. Weyers White.
Mr. White was a member of Holy Child Parish, Washington Lodge 164 F&AM and Carroll Shelby Car Club. He was the owner of a 1968 Shelby GT500.
He especially loved spending time with his grandsons at motocross races.
Mr. White was a teamster with Local 341 and a self-employed auto recycler in New Eagle. He was a landlord and owned Muse Cafe Bar and Restaurant.
Surviving are a son, Justin (Billie Jo) White of Cecil; two grandsons, Damian and Maximus White; two brothers, Stig Bea (Elizabeth) White of Ormond Beach, Fla., and Arnold “AJ” (Patty) White, of Cecil; a sister, Iris Larkin of Georgetown, Colo.; a half-brother, Gene Valentine; and former wife, Linda White Groom of Punta Gorda, Fla.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday in Coleman-Taylor Funeral Services, 3378 Millers Run Road, Route 50, Cecil, where prayers of transfer will be said at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, followed by a Christian funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Holy Child Parish, Bridgeville, with Father Robert Meyers officiating.
Interment will be private.
Chartiers Lodge 297 F&AM will hold a Masonic service at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.
