Loving husband, father and son
John Paul Thompson Jr., 51, of Canonsburg, died Friday October 4, 2013, of cholangiocarcinoma.
He was born August 12, 1962, in Canonsburg, a son of Karen and John Thompson of Canonsburg.
Mr. Thompson was a 1980 graduate of Canon-McMillan High School.
He married Lisa Shaw on June 27, 1987, who survives
Mr. Thompson was employed by Pittsburgh Tank Corporation in Monongahela, as a project manager.
He was an active member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg. He coached basketball for St. Patrick School for several years. He also coached for Lil Mac football and was a scout leader when his children were very young.
Surviving, in addition to his parents and wife, are children Johnny, Luke, Molly and Tad and brother Joe Thompson.
Mr. Thompson was the best husband, father and son in the world.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Mario L. DeAngelo Funeral Home, 194 East College Street, Canonsburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, in St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Canonsburg.
